As the controversy the Kano Emirate throne rages, the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, on Tuesday, ordered his District Heads to make themselves available for the Sallah Durbar celebration in the state.
The directive contained in a circular by Bayero’s senior counsellor and Galadiman Kano, Abbas Sanusi, directed the District Heads to join the 15th Emir in the ancient city of Kano for the Sallah and Durbar celebration.
The Tuesday circular read, “We are directing all the district heads of the emirate to come along with their village heads, horse riders, and praise singers for the festivities.
“You are directed to come to the Gidan Nassarawa palace of Aminu Ado Bayero on Saturday by 11 am. Afterwards, there will be a meeting with the District Heads for discussion on the preparation for the Sallah Durbar celebration.”
Kano State Government had recently repealed the Kano Emirate law and reinstated Muhammad Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano.
Emir Sanusi II has taken over the main palace at the Kano Emirate while the 15th Emir, Bayero occupies the Gidan Nassarawa Emir’s guest house, popularly known as the mini palace.
