Former Sweden striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has singled out Rodri for special praise after Spain defeated France 2-0 in Tuesday’s World Cup semi-final encounter.
Speaking on Fox Sports after the game, Ibrahimovic said the Manchester City midfielder was magnificent against France, adding that he was everywhere on the pitch.
“I have to name Rodri. He was all over the place on the pitch. What a game,” Ibrahimovic said.
“What a player. He is a player who doesn’t get a lot of credit, but in this game, he was everywhere. He was just magnificent.”
Rodri, a former Ballon d’Or winner, has been impressive for Spain at the World Cup so far.
