Federal Road Safety Commission, on Tuesday, confirmed 16 people dead and 17 others injured in an early morning multiple road accident at the Agbowo end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. FRSC disclosed that 35 persons were involved in the ghastly accident, out of which 16 died on the spot, while the injured ones were rushed to Amdalat Hospital, Agbowo, in Ibadan North Local Government Area. Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has revealed that some sponsors behind the hijacking of the planned peaceful protest against bad governance and hunger fled the country on the eve of the protest to evade arrest.
