Kano State House of Assembly, on Wednesday, suspended member representing Nassarawa Local Government Area, Yusuf Bello Aliyu,
for three months for allegedly insulting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The Assembly at its plenary on Wednesday directed the lawmaker to stay away from all legislative activities throughout the suspension period.
The suspension followed a video in which the lawmaker was seen holding a rabbit by its ears while making remarks allegedly considered insultive to the governor.
The assembly had earlier announced that it would invite the lawmaker over the video.
Speaking after Wednesday’s plenary, Lawan Hussaini Dala said Aliyu was required to appear before the Assembly and apologise publicly to the Governor.
