Two persons have died in an auto crash that occurred on Monday when a Mazda bus collided with a truck around the long bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway corridor of Ogun State.
One person also sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Involved in the crash was a Mazda bus with registration number: EDE217XB and A MAN DIESEL Truck with registration number: AJL715XA.
Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, Ogun State, Florence Okpe confirmed this to newsmen in a statement on Monday in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Okpe said that the cause of the accident wad road obstruction and fatigue
She said that three persons ( all males) were involved in the auto crash, one person sustained injuries, while the remaining two died instantly.
The Chief Superintendent Route Commander said that the injured persons had been taken to Hopeland Hospital, Warewa, while the corpses had been deposited at Real Divine Hospital morgue, IBAFO.
She added that obstruction had also been cleared off the road and free flow of traffic restored.
The Sector Commander, FRSC Ogun Sector Command, CC Akinwumi Fasakin, sympathized with the family of the crash victims.
Fasakin, therefore, advised motorists to always be on alert while driving as well as observing some rest to avoid fatigue or sleeping off on wheel.
