Governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State have vowed to dislodge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the state in 2027.
The APC aspirants made the declaration during a meeting in Ibadan with the immediate past first lady in the state, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of the party among whom are Senator Sharafadeen Alli; Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu; former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin and the senator representing Oyo North, Dr Abdulfatai Buhari.
It was also attended by Aderemi Oseni, Barrister Akeem Agbaje and other gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of the party.
The former first lady was said to have spearheaded the meeting.
The aspirants and other chieftains of the party were said to have resolved to work together in the interest of the party.
A source added that all the stakeholders pledged to work together in order to dislodge PDP in 2027.
The source privy to the meeting said, “There was a meeting of gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of APC. It was attended by former first lady and the aspirants.
“We also have some other stakeholders of the party there. They resolved to work together in order to dislodge PDP in 2027.”
