…boasts ‘I’m feeling the victory, we’ll win with wide margin’
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday, inaugurated his campaign council for the August gubernatorial election.
Members and leaders of People Democratic Party and Accord Party from across the state attended the inauguration at Adeleke campaign Secretariat in Osogbo, the state capital, on Wednesday.
Adeleke, during the event, said he was already feeling the cloud of victory around him.
The governor said “I am feeling the victory, the defeat of our opponents. This team is heading to victory. My spirit confirms our party, the Accord, is declared winner with wide margins.
“This is how we started in 2022. Today is the march to victory on August 15th. I hereby inaugurate this Campaign Council to the service of continuity and delivery of good governance.”
Director General of the Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi said his team was determined to win the forthcoming election.
He said, “What we did in 2018 and 2022 is different from what we are going to do now because God has promoted us from opposition party to the ruling party, the style of somebody in opposition is quite different from the campaign style of somebody who is not only in government that is doing very well in government.
“We are going to disappoint a lot of people in town who are thinking we are going to join the issue with people that has nothing to sell .
“Our candidate is good and market is fine so what is the problem. If we are here in the next one year we can not tell Osun people everything Governor has done.
“We are still going to create many more campaign structures, particularly at the wards and local government level, where almost everybody will have a prominent role to play to drive the process of electing our performing Governor in Osun.”
