Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not interested in any political coalition ahead of the 2027 general election, insisting that the party’s priority is to secure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ensure victory for all its candidates.

Nwifuru said the APC would resist any political arrangement capable of weakening the party’s unity or undermining the electoral prospects of its candidates across the country.
“Our project is how to deliver our President, and that is our project for now. We are not interested in any coalition. We are for all the candidates of the APC,” the governor declared.
He spoke on Saturday at Okpara Square, Enugu State, where he joined Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the flag-off of an empowerment programme for over 5,000 women across the South-East.
The programme, organised by the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, was themed “One Region, One Vision: Empowered for Progress” and aimed at strengthening women’s participation and mobilisation in support of President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The Ebonyi governor described the APC as a party with a clear manifesto, challenging other political parties to make their policy documents and programmes available for public scrutiny.
“APC is the only party that has an open manifesto. We can discuss our manifesto with you, unlike other political parties,” he said.
Nwifuru further assured the party’s leadership that all necessary political arrangements had been put in place to guarantee the success of APC candidates, stressing that all loose ends had been tightened in the collective interest of the party.
Speaking at the event, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, said the over 5,000 beneficiaries were women who had demonstrated commitment to the APC and consistently defended the party’s interests across the South-East region.
She explained that the empowerment initiative was being implemented under the Renewed Hope Initiative, as part of efforts to recognise, support and strengthen women who had remained steadfast in the party.
Also in attendance was the wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, alongside other political leaders and women stakeholders from across the South-East.
