The National TB Conference 2024, held in Abuja on Friday, December 13, brought together stakeholders from various sectors to deliberate on topical issues in TB control and foster collaboration to end TB in Nigeria.
The conference, organized by Stop TB Partnership Nigeria and National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Program (NTBLCP), featured plenary and poster presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions.
The event culminated in an awards ceremony, where Janna Health Foundation (JHF) was honored with the prestigious National Award for its outstanding contributions to the fight against tuberculosis. This recognition is a testament to JHF’s tireless efforts in providing access to medical services and information, improving communities’ livelihood, and promoting maternal and child health while working towards reducing the prevalence and socio-economic problems associated with TB, HIV, and leprosy.
JHF’s commitment to fighting TB is evident in its participation in the World TB Day commemoration in Adamawa State, where it conducted outreach programs, screened over 700 individuals, and identified 15 TB cases
