Incumbent Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District and the All Progressives Congress’ governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, on Wednesday, eulogised former governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, on the occasion of his 87th birthday.
Senator Adeola, in a congratulatory message, described Chief Osoba as a revered leader, elder statesman, renowned journalist and national leader of the APC.
“We heartily congratulate our revered leader, elder statesman, renowned journalist, former Governor of Ogun State, and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Olusegun Osoba, CON, on the joyous occasion of his 87th birthday,” the Senator said.
Senator Yayi said Baba Osoba’s life is a testament to courage, integrity, visionary leadership and unwavering service to Nigeria.
“Baba Osoba’s life exemplifies courage, integrity, visionary leadership, and unwavering service to our nation,” he stated.
“As one of Nigeria’s most accomplished journalists, he distinguished himself through fearless reporting that shaped the country’s media landscape.
“As Governor of Ogun State and a foremost progressive leader, he provided exemplary leadership, strengthened democratic governance, and remains a respected pillar of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.
“His wisdom, fatherly guidance, and steadfast commitment to the progress of Ogun State and Nigeria continue to inspire generations of leaders.”
The Ogun West Senator prayed for continued grace, health and strength for the elder statesman as he marks the milestone.
“As he celebrates this remarkable milestone, we join his family, friends, political associates and countless admirers in thanking Almighty God for His abiding grace upon his life. “
