‘In politics, 99.99% loyalty is not enough, it must be 100%’ — Fatai Adiyeloja

A member of the Akeem Amosun Political Movement, Fatai Adiyeloja, has emphasised the importance of absolute loyalty in politics, declaring that 99.99 per cent loyalty is unacceptable when following a political leader, insisting that genuine commitment must be total.

Adiyeloja made the remark while speaking with other party faithful at AK City, the official residence of Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, where he underscored the need for unwavering commitment, trust and dedication among members of the movement.

According to him, loyalty remains one of the most essential virtues in political relationships, as it strengthens unity, builds mutual confidence and sustains the bond between a leader and his followers. He maintained that anyone who identifies with a political leader must demonstrate sincerity of purpose and stand firmly by the principles, vision and collective aspirations of the movement.

_“In politics, 99.99 per cent loyalty is not enough. It has to be 100 per cent. Loyalty is not something to be demonstrated only when things are going smoothly; it must also be evident during challenging moments. A loyal follower does not abandon the ship at the first sign of difficulty but remains committed to the cause he has chosen to support,”_ Adiyeloja stated.

He further explained that political loyalty goes beyond mere declarations of support or public displays of association. In his view, it is reflected in consistency, discipline, honesty, respect for leadership, and the willingness to contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of a political organisation. He added that genuine loyalty must be accompanied by integrity, constructive engagement and a shared commitment to the group’s objectives.

Adiyeloja consequently urged members and supporters of the Akeem Amosun Political Movement to embrace what he described as 100 per cent loyalty, stressing that a movement can only achieve its desired goals when its members are united in purpose and steadfast in their commitment. He encouraged them to shun disloyal conduct, divisive tendencies and actions capable of undermining the confidence that binds the leadership and the grassroots together.

He concluded that a strong political structure is built not merely on the number of people surrounding a leader but on the quality of their commitment, the sincerity of their intentions and their willingness to work together towards a common vision. He called on members of the movement to uphold loyalty as a defining principle of their political engagement, noting that trust and consistency remain indispensable ingredients for enduring political relationships and collective progress.
