Four members of the Senate, on Wednesday, officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The Senators include Ikra Bilbis, representing Zamfara Central; Aminu Iya Abbas, representing Adamawa Central; Amos Yohanna, representing Adamawa North and Ipalibo Harry Banigo, representing Rivers West sen6atorial District.
The lawmakers’ defections were formally announced during Wednesday’s plenary session, where Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read their notices on the floor.
This is coming after four members of the House of Representatives defected from the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party to the ruling APC.
The lawmakers said internal crises in their former parties prompted their defection.
