Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has resigned from the New Nigeria People’s Party.
The Governor left the NNPP alongside 21 members of the State House of Assembly, eight members of the House of Representatives and 44 local government chairmen in the state.
His decision to quit the NNPP was announced in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the Diso-Chiranchi Ward of the party in Gwale Local Government Area.
According to the letter, Governor Yusuf’s resignation from NNPP takes effect from January 25, 2026.
