Billionaire business mogul, Femi Otedola and the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwunmi Adesina, on Tuesday came to the defence of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote in his battle of wits with the regulatory bodies in the nation’s oil sector.
Otedola said Nigerians, particularly the government, should support Dangote by creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
He stressed that Dangote’s contributions must be recognized and supported by all means.
The AfDB president, on his part, warned that Nigeria would be the loser because of the virulent criticisms aimed at Dangote and his refinery.
Adesina further warned that such criticisms would discourage foreign investors from coming to Nigeria.
