President Bola Tinubu on Monday held a meeting with the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tinubu and Fubara met behind closed doors after the President earlier met with six All Progressives Congress Governors in his office.

Journalists were not briefed on the details of the meeting. Fubara also refused to speak with State House correspondents after the meeting.
But the meeting between the President and the Rivers State Governor is coming closely following speculations that Fubara might be planning to defect to the ruling APC.
Since Fubara and his estranged godfather who is also the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike reconciled, the Rivers Governor has been avoiding any meeting with members of the PDP or PDP Governors.
Recall that last week, 16 pro-Wike members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, including Speaker Martin Amaewhule, dumped the PDP for the APC, a development the main opposition party has vowed to challenge in the court.
The six Governors who met with President Tinubu on Monday are Usman Ododo (Kogi), Umar Namadi; (Jigawa), Monday Okpebholo; (Edo), Biodun Oyebanji(! Ekiti) Nasir Idris, Kebbi) and Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto).
After the meeting, the six Governors, however, declined to disclose to State House correspondents the reason for their visit to the President.
Also, Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga who posted the pictures of the visit, declined to state any reason for the meeting.
