From Tom Garba, Yola

In a display of hospitality and political outreach amid the holy month of Ramadan, prominent Adamawa businessman and philanthropist Alhaji Hamisu Idris Medugu, popularly known as Sardaunan Madagali, hosted a grand Iftar dinner at his residence in Yola.

The event drew a large gathering of key stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa North Senatorial District, party executives, friends, well-wishers, and community leaders from across Adamawa State and beyond.

The lavish breaking of the fast exemplified the core values of Ramadan; unity, brotherhood, compassion, and collective reflection while serving as a strategic platform to strengthen ties ahead of future political engagements.

Attendees shared meals, prayers, and discussions focused on the peace, progress, and development of Adamawa North and the state as a whole.

During the gathering, Sardauna Madagali formally reaffirmed his ambition to contest the Adamawa North Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections, under the special grace of God.

He described his aspiration as rooted in a genuine commitment to serve the people through dedicated, inclusive leadership and effective representation at the national level.

“I humbly seek the prayers, support, and cooperation of our people as we work together for a better Adamawa North,” he stated, emphasizing his track record of philanthropy, community support, and consistent engagement with constituents.

Known for his generosity ranging from educational sponsorships and healthcare assistance to empowerment initiatives for youth and women Hamisu Idris Medugu has built a reputation as a tested and trusted figure in Adamawa politics.

He previously vied for the same senatorial position, showcasing his enduring resolve and grassroots connections.

The Iftar was widely praised by participants for its warm atmosphere and focus on constructive dialogue. Many expressed optimism about his potential to bring purposeful representation to the zone.

Sardauna Madagali concluded by extending gratitude to all who attended and prayed for Allah to accept their fasting and guide efforts toward the greater good of the people and Adamawa State.

As political activities intensify toward 2027, events like this highlight emerging aspirants’ efforts to consolidate support within the APC and among the broader electorate in Adamawa North.
