Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has picked up his membership card for the African Democratic Congress.
Obi formally picked up his card during the kick-off ceremony of the Anambra State ADC registration and mobilisation exercise held on Saturday.
The event attracted party members and supporters from across the state.
Obi’s move comes amid earlier speculation about his possible return to the Labour Party.
The former Anambra State governor earlier declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election, stating that he would not be intimidated by the large number of governors currently in the All Progressives Congress.
Obi said several attempts had been made to discourage him from the race but insisted that he would not be deterred.
