PDP crisis: We’re ready if you go to Supreme Court, Wike tells aggrieved faction

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has told the Taminu Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party that he and his allies are ready if they decide to go to the Supreme Court.

Wike stated this on Monday after his faction of the PDP won nine appeals filed against them by the Makinde-backed Turaki faction

Recall that the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Monday dismissed the appeal brought before it by the Turaki-led faction of the party.

The appellate court also upheld the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja which on October 31, 2025, restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission from recognising the outcome of the 2025 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Wike in his reaction, said, “Today’s judgement is an opportunity for PDP to reconcile, but if they decide to go to the Supreme Court, it won’t augur well for the party.

“If they insist on going to the Supreme Court, we’ll be ready for them. We won all nine appeals against them today in court, and each comes with N2m cost totalling N18m against them.”
