A yet-to-be-ascertained number of officers are still missing after terrorists attacked a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps outpost in Ibrahim Leteh village along Wawa–Lumma road in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
The attackers were said to have stormed the NSCDC outpost in their large numbers, opening fire on the operatives around 4am on Tuesday.
Some men of the civil defence men were said to have run for their lives.
During the attack, the terrorists carted away some rifles belonging to the civil defence officers.
NSCDC spokesperson for the Niger State Command, Abubakar Rabiu, said, “We heard a similar report but investigation is still ongoing because until now we cannot establish the extent of what really happened. So, our commandant will speak after the investigation.”
