The life and destiny of Master Israel Inioluwa Olukayode currently hang in the balance if timely assistance to make him survive does not come quickly. Here’s is a 15-year old boy who has never been able to walk on his two feet nor able to lift himself up like other normal children .

Israel who clocked 15 on August 3, 2024 is suffering from Acute Cerebral Palsy, an affliction which came upon him at birth, specifically, the 4th day of life.

And so for his parents, Mr Benjamin Olukayode, a staff of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and wife, Mrs Olukayode of Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, this has been a burden, if not a cross, they have had to carry since the past 15 years.

What started as yellowness of both eyes on Day 4 after birth while on admission at the State Hospital, Abeokuta has aggravated to be what Doctors now followed-up as “Acute Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy” manifesting co-morbidities in excruciating muscle spasms and Speech Defect. The medical condition at birth was termed Acute Bilirubin Encephalopathy and Sepsis.

For years, the parents must necessarily cough out daily drugs @N1,440 to temper Israel’s condition which runs down to about N132k monthly. Presently, they have come to their wits end.

In fact, the health condition of the boy worsened recently when his left Fermor got broken while his balls and socket joints of the hips got dislocated.

However, there appears to be a glimmer of hope as the Olukayodes are now looking towards Regenerative Medicine, as advised.

Even without travelling abroad for medical treatment, a particular hospital based in Lagos, Glory Wellness and Regenerative Centre, after a comprehensive diagnosis of the boy has offered to undertake Stem Cell Therapy via Umbilical Cord Stem Cells and Stemregen that will do corrective surgeries to remedy his medical plight at a whopping amount of N14.8million.

Exactly this point is where the kindness and generosity of well-meaning Nigerians are appealed to. Please, nothing is too small to assist this family to ensure that Israel Olukayode does not die in this condition. Please help him to live a normal life.

Mr Benjamin Olukayode, who is a staff of FUNAAB, can be reached on 08052469485 His account details is GTBank 0050980054
