In an unprecedented display of grassroots love and confidence, constituents of the Fufore/Song Federal Constituency have raised more than ₦20 million within seven days to support the re-election campaign of their representative in the House of Representatives, Hon. Barr. Aliyu Wakili Boya.

The fundraising initiative, spearheaded by the Fufore Concerned Citizens under the chairmanship of Alhaji Bamanga Hayatu Ubandoma Fufore, was originally aimed at purchasing the ₦10 million nomination form for Hon. Boya’s return ticket.

However, the outpouring of support far exceeded expectations, with contributions surging to ₦20,114,700 from over 217 donors before the official unveiling ceremony scheduled for tomorrow.

Organizers described the rapid mobilization as a heartfelt “thank you” from the people for Hon. Boya’s “laudable projects and quality representation” during his first term.

The donations have now gone beyond the nomination form, providing a strong war chest for his re-election bid.

The contributor list reflects a broad cross-section of the constituency, including political stakeholders, traditional leaders, professionals, youth groups, and ordinary community members from both Fufore and Song Local Government Areas.

Top donors include: Bello Abubakar Malabu – ₦3 million; Alhaji Bawuro Buba (Waziri Malabu) – ₦2 million; Chief Chisom Anadu, Prof. Saad Hammawa Malabu, Hon. Jika Bapetel, and Hon. Sa’ad Tahir Song – ₦1 million each

They point to the purely people-driven and organic nature of the fundraising as rare in the state’s political landscape, where campaigns are often funded by godfathers or personal resources.

Hon. Boya, a lawyer and former Chairman of Fufore Local Government as well as ALGON in Adamawa State, currently chairs the House Committee on Police Institutions.

He is credited with several constituency projects, including sponsoring a bill for the establishment of a Federal College of Health Sciences and Technology in Song.

The fundraising committee confirmed that donations are still being received ahead of tomorrow’s official unveiling event, signaling even stronger momentum for the re-election campaign.

This remarkable show of support not only boosts Hon. Boya’s chances ahead of the 2027 elections but also sets a new benchmark for constituent-led political financing in Adamawa State, proving that genuine performance and people-centric leadership can inspire voluntary backing from the grassroots.

Donations continue to be welcomed as the people of Fufore/Song prepare to rally behind their “most lovable politician.”
