Former Liverpool ace Danny Murphy has compared Arsenal attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri to Liverpool legend Michael Owen.
Murphy said the 17-year-old is fearless and not intimidated by anyone.
Writing in his Daily Mail column, Murphy said: “Fearless Nwaneri! I was at Liverpool when a 17-year-old Michael Owen burst through with this incredible self-belief that no defender could handle him.
“I’m getting the same vibe with Nwaneri, who doesn’t look scared of anybody. The bigger the occasion, the better he is.”
Nwaneri has been impressive for Arsenal in recent weeks.
He scored in Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg 7-1 win against PSV in midweek.
Nwaneri will hope to continue his fine form for Mikel Arteta’s side when they face Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.
