. Heavy security presence at venue
Protesters on Thursday converged on the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Their action is in compliance with a court order restricting them to the facility.
They gathered as early as 6 am chanting solidarity slogans and singing songs.
Heavily armed security operatives have also been deployed at the stadium.
Young Nigerians, activists and groups had declared the protest in response to the economic hardship.
The protests are expected to last between August 1st to 10th.
