Edo guber: APC hiding looming defeat behind court judgment – Osasuyi

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State, Nosa Osasuyi, has carpeted the opposition All Progressive Congress in the state for allegedly hiding their incompetence and inability to win the forthcoming governorship election behind a recent court judgement regarding the PDP gubernatorial primary election in the state.

Osasuyi told journalists in Abuja at the weekend that APC resorted to lies because they know they can’t win the forthcoming governorship election in September in a free and fair contest.

According to him, the facts stare at them frontally, hence their decision to hide behind a finger by twisting the judgement of the Federal High Court.

He said the misrepresentation of disqualification was a cheap blackmail to curry votes from unsuspecting voters in the state.

The PDP chieftain advised the opposition party to accept defeat even before election, as their candidate has no capabilities to govern the state.

He therefore warned that instead of them concentrating on meaningful campaign, they are twisting court judgement and turning it upside down.

The party chieftain said Edo voters are more knowledgeable than the APC is thinking, stressing that their defeat is so pronounced even before the election.

He said the plaintiff’s lawyer in the case, Adaze Emwanta ought to be dragged to the disciplinary committee of the Nigeria Bar Association for deliberately telling lies and misleading Nigerians.

“I ask that Emwanta should be disciplined for falsehood,” he stated.

It will be recalled that the court had ruled that the exclusion of some wards delegates ran foul of the party constitution, but this has nothing to do with the flagbearer of the PDP in Edo State, candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
