Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi, says the service collected N6.1 trillion in revenue in 2024, a 90.4 percent increase from N3.2 trillion recorded in 2023.
Adeniyi, disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
The Customs CG noted that the service surpassed its 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22 percent.
He added that the Nigeria Customs Service recorded the highest revenue collection in October, when it collected N603 billion.
“Unprecedented performance in 2024, the service recorded N6.105.315 trillion. This is above the N5.07 trillion 2024 revenue target by 22 percent, “he stated.
