Human rights organisation, Amnesty International, has released an investigative report detailing the plight of Boko Haram victims in the North East. The report, titled, ‘Help us build our lives’: Girl survivors of Boko Haram and military abuses in north-east Nigeria’, captured experiences of how girls who escaped Boko Haram captivity were “reunited” with their surrendered “husbands” in government-owned facilities. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says Nigeria recorded a N6.5 trillion trade surplus between January and March of 2024. NBS made this known in its foreign trade report for the first quarter (Q1) of 2024 on Sunday.
