As Nigeria marks the 2024 Democracy Day, some protesters, on Wednesday morning, converged under the Ikeja bridge in Lagos. Armed policemen and operatives of the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps, however, maintained tight security at the venue. The crowd of protesters, carrying placards and banners, chanted solidarity songs.
