The Adele Olu of Ilaro-Yewa, High Chief Abiodun Olalekan Ilo, has commended the Senator representing Ogun West in the National Assembly, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called Yayi, for the extensive development projects he has so far executed within the constituency and beyond.
High Chief Ilo, who is based in the United States of America, stated this during a recent online interview with Abu-Satar Hamed of StarTrend Int’l Magazine and its online platform.
According to the retired banker, he’s deeply impressed by the level of development he witnessed upon returning from the United States for the 2025 Oronna Ilaro Festival.
“I’m indeed overwhelmed by the people-oriented projects I saw – township roads, newly constructed classrooms across schools in Ogun West, ICT centres, renovated hospitals equipped with sophisticated facilities, police stations, and recreational centres”, he said.
High Chief Ilo also noted that beneficiaries of various training and empowerment programmes testified to Senator Adeola’s impactful initiatives.
The US-based traditional chief expressed delight at Senator Adeola Yayi’s achievements within just over two years of representing Ogun West, noting that his performance leaves no doubt that he would excel if elected Governor of Ogun State in 2027, God willing.
Responding to a question, the Adele Olu of Ilaro stated that although he has not yet had a one-on-one discussion with Senator Yayi – whom he described as very accessible – but looks forward to meeting him when the opportunity arises.
High Chief Ilo urged the people of Ogun West and Ogun State to recognize and support the God-given potential in Senator Adeola Yayi by rallying behind his 2027 gubernatorial ambition.
He further revealed that he, his wife, and other like-minded Ogun State indigenes in the United States are already encouraging fellow citizens abroad not only to return home to vote for Yayi, but also to promote his candidacy ahead of the 2025 election.
High Chief Ilo also urged citizens to remain security conscious – monitoring their surroundings and promptly reporting suspicious individuals or activities to the appropriate authorities.
