Professor Sammy Olufemi Sam-Wobo has been re-elected unopposed as the President of the Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria in a unanimous election held at its 48th annual conference held at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Sam-Wobo is popularly called “Digital Presido” for his innovative leadership styles and the application of modern information communication skills into the running of the society affairs like the creation of a multimedia anthem for the society, the creation of a functional website, the instant sharing of vital information and communication documents and updates writings to its members for instant response and digests, unprecedented rise in the society’s fund, updated payment of society dues, fees due to personalized communication encouragement and good rapport with members and selfless service to all, among others.
These and many more solid achievements and vibrant administration of the society’s affairs are the reason for Sam-Wobo’s unanimous re-election to continue his good works for the continued prosperity of the society.
In his acceptance speech, the PPSN President thanked the members, Board of Trustees and Executives for the trust reposed in him and promised to continue to do his work of leading the society after gaining some insights in his first time.
Other members and new executives were also voted into various posts for the proper running of the society.
