The manager Real Madrid players prefer as their next manager over Jose Mourinho has been revealed.
Mourinho is among the names linked with the Los Blancos.
Real Madrid are expected to appoint a new manager to take over from Alvaro Arbeloa at the end of the season.
Arbeloa’s six months at Santiago Bernabeu did not yield fruitful results as Real Madrid is headed for a trophyless season.
However, according to Cadena Ser (as reported by Sportskeeda), Real Madrid players believe former Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp would be a better choice.
The report added that the players believe the Portuguese will eventually clash with them and cause hostility in the dressing room.
Mourinho is the currently managing Benfica, and he is reportedly keen to return to Madrid as head coach, while Klopp is yet to manage any club since he left Liverpool in 2024.
