… says ‘Edo election is not war that you capture prisoners’
A group, Edo Collectives has lashed out at the Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu over his plan to capture Edo State for the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
The group said Edolites should be wary of a political party that is coming to wage a war on innocent electorate because they have rejected the APC.
Secretary of the group, Anselm Oriakhi said Edo voters should ensure they protect their votes and do not allow political hawks to steal their mandate.
Oriakhi alleged that APC was determined to wage war and not to campaign to win, warning that the electorate should be wary of such a party.
“It is amazing but it has proven to all that APC has nothing to offer but wants to capture the state by all means. Edolites should therefore vote PDP which has a clear cut blueprint to turn around the fortune of Edo State,” he said.
The group, however, reminded the APC presidential campaign team that Edo State is not Imo state, “as we in Edo State are ready and shall defend our votes by all means.”
Recall that the Governor of Cross River State, who is the Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC had at inauguration of the council boasted that he would capture Edo State for the APC.
