A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, Hon. Bulus Iliya, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing former Speaker of the 8th Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, as Chairman of the Board of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC).
Iliya, who was the APC candidate for Bogoro Constituency in the 2023 Bauchi State House of Assembly election, described the appointment as a “commendable move” that reflects the President’s strategic thinking and commitment to economic reform.
Hon. Bulus while chatting with journalists in Bauchi on Friday, said
“President Tinubu made a very wise decision. Appointing someone like Yakubu Dogara as Chairman of NCGC is a clear step towards national economic progress.”
Hon. Iliya expressed confidence that under Dogara’s leadership, the NCGC will bring significant credibility, strategic direction, and positive impact to Nigeria’s financial system.
“The track record of Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara in legislative and public service speaks volumes. He has the leadership, vision, and integrity needed to guide such a pivotal institution, especially at this crucial time in our nation’s economic development,” Iliya added.
He also praised the establishment of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited by President Tinubu, highlighting its role in making borrowing more accessible for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), manufacturers, and individual consumers.
“The NCGC will help reduce lending risks and enable broader access to finance. This is a bold and timely intervention by the President,” Iliya said.
Hon. Bulus Iliya called on Nigerians to continue praying for President Tinubu, “We must keep praying for President Tinubu for wisdom, strength, and a long life so he can continue leading Nigeria to a better future.”
Iliya added that, “On behalf of myself and my family, I extend heartfelt congratulations to our mentor and boss, the Jendhm of Zaar Land, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, on your well-deserved appointment.”
