A former Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, and aspirant for the party chairmanship in the state, Danjuma Bello Sarki, has assured that he’ll lead the party to victory in 2027 elections if he wins the coveted seat.
Sarki, who made the pledge while kicking off his campaign at the parties’ office in Zonkwa, headquarters of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area and in Kafanchan, the headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Areas, respectively, said his aspiration for the state PDP chairmanship was the people’s and party members’ choice.
He said, “I have harkened your calls because you believe in my capability, vibrancy, connections and wisdom to revamp the party.
“If I emerge as the State Party Chairman, I have a new vision to unite the party and make it formidable ahead of any general elections in the State.
“PDP is a democratic party that encourages youths to be active, hence, my decision to join the race after due consultation.
“I want to assure you today, from 2015 till date, l have been part of the PDP campaigns, so l know all the loopholes and the gaps and l know if I am elected to steer the affairs of the party, nobody, not even the security forces can rig our elections anywhere anymore.
“I am beating my chest today, l will lead you to victory come 2027.”
Sarki said that bad governance by the APC administration since 2015 had subjected the people to abject poverty, saying the Kaduna State House of Assembly’s report has unearthed the large scale corruption, fraud and stealing of the common resources of Kaduna State.
” When I look at the report of the State House of Assembly, I feel like crying. If it were even people from Kaduna State who stole these monies, maybe I wouldn’t have been so angry like this,” he said.
Sarki argued that there was no difference between the current administration of Governor Uba Sani and that of Nasir El-Rufai, stressing that they operate the same pattern but using different modus operandi.
“If you look at Kaduna State you’ll think there’s no Governor, there is no sense of any governance, most cases they try to use the media to create hype,” he lamented.
He, however, promised to lead a credible opposition that would put the government on its toes by exposing its ineptitude and showing the world where they are failing.
He added, “We’ll provide an alternative opportunity for people to see that the PDP remains the best party that has the mind of the people of Kaduna State and Nigeria.
“Only in PDP you’ll get stock of credible leaders who have trained themselves in leadership areas and it has shown in them that they have human feelings.”
