As the Zamfara State Government expressed its resolve to remodel Ahmad Sani Yarima Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau, Governor Dauda Lawal has charged the contracting firm handling the project, Minjiriya Health Services, to strictly adhere to the contractual agreement.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony to kick off the project, Lawal said the project was to ensure total rehabilitation of the hospital.
He restated the commitment of the administration to uplift the standard of the health sector across the state.
“It’s part of our concerns to the health sector. We had declared a state of emergency in the Heath sector”, he added.
In his speech, Managing Director, Minjiriya Health Services, Alhaji Mustafa Falaki assured the government of the execution of quality job.
“The management of Minjiriya Health Services would do everything possible to adhere strictly to the contact specifications in executing work”, he added.
According to him, the flag-off of the project signifies the government’s commitment to enhancing the healthcare infrastructure in the state.
“As the management of Minjirya Health Services Limited, we bring our wealth of experience and expertise in successfully executing similar projects across the country”, he added.
He said as mark of commitment, the construction firm had since mobilized to site and work has commenced in earnest, prior to this flag-off as all can witness.
The scope, according to him, include, construction of new complexes for obstetrics and gynecology, radiology, and laboratory, alongside the renovation of existing buildings and landscaping..
