The Unity and Reconciliation Forum of the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State, has organised special prayers with 500 prominent Islamic scholars for President Bola Tinubu and the country to end banditry and other forms of terrorism.
The Forum’s Chairman, Alhaji Mande Umar said the prayer session at the instance of Sen. Abdul’Aziz Yari would focus on the need for spiritual intervention in bringing peace and harmony in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Umar further lauded the efforts of Sen. Yari for demonstrating concern and sympathy over the acts of banditry and other forms of the security challenges facing the country.
“We in Zamfara State appreciate the efforts of Sen. Yari in supporting the presidency of Tinubu and demonstrating this to the security challenge facing the country by sponsoring special prayers to end the menace”, he added.
According to him, Sen. Yari remains committed to the success of Tinubu Presidency, saying APC supporters in Zamfara would continue to support Federal Government policies and programmes.
The Forum Chairman, therefore, appealed to the APC supporters in the state to work together and avoid anything capable of causing disunity amongst them.
He maintained that it would be through unification of all factions that the APC could move forward and attain success in future elections.
