The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called Yayi, has reaffirmed his commitment to the development and progress of Imeko-Afon Local Government Area.
Senator Adeola gave this assurance while attending this year’s Imeko Agbinrekoti Day celebration alongside the traditional ruler, HRH Oba Benjamin Alabi Olanite (Akanku IV), distinguished sons and daughters of Imeko-Afon, community leaders and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the celebration, Adeola described Imeko as a community very dear to him and expressed appreciation for the warmth, support and goodwill he continues to receive from the traditional institution and the people of Imeko-Afon.
He particularly acknowledged Hon. Bodegan Osirisankan for his magnanimity, steadfastness and continued support.
Adeola also highlighted some of the projects, programmes and interventions he has facilitated for communities across Imeko-Afon, assuring residents that his commitment to supporting initiatives that improve their welfare and advance the development of the local government remains unwavering.
He called on sons and daughters of Imeko-Afon, both at home and in the Diaspora, to continue working together for the progress of their communities, Ogun State and Yorubaland.
The Senator also expressed appreciation to Oba Olanite following the monarch’s declaration of support for his governorship aspiration ahead of the 2027 election.
Adeola said he was deeply humbled by the confidence and goodwill expressed by the traditional ruler and the people of Imeko, stressing that such support would not be taken for granted.
He thanked the monarch and the entire Imeko community for the warm reception, while reiterating his commitment to service, development and the continued progress of Imeko-Afon and Ogun State.
