Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Monday, revealed details of his conversation with his estranged political godson and successor, Siminalayi Fubara, when he came to beg him for reconciliation.
Wike confirmed that the suspended and embattled Fubara visited him in company with two sitting Governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress to plead for peace.
Wike, who spoke at a media briefing in Abuja on Monday, said he told the embattled Fubara that he lacked the capacity to make peace.
The FCT Minister said the suspended Rivers Governor cannot be making moves for peace while his supporters continued to do otherwise.
Wike said, “I told him (Fubara) I don’t think you have the capacity to really make this peace. It’s not easy; if you’re making peace, your people are demonstrating every day.
“If you are making peace, your people are busy on television insulting people.”
Recall that on Sunday, Fubara warned his supporters to deviate from actions that could make the peace he is pursuing unrealistic.
