PDP governorship aspirant Chief Maurice Vunobolki received a thunderous hero’s welcome in Adamawa State on Saturday as thousands of supporters, party stakeholders, youths, and women groups turned out en masse to celebrate his successful purchase of the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.
Chief Vunobolki, accompanied by his wife, arrived at the Aliyu Musdafa International Airport in Yola from Abuja to a rousing reception marked by chants, solidarity songs, and a massive convoy that snaked through the city’s bustling Bank Road to his campaign office, where an even larger crowd had gathered.
The atmosphere was electric as supporters demonstrated strong grassroots backing for the aspirant, describing his bid as a credible movement poised to deliver purposeful leadership to Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 elections.
At the campaign office, several speakers hailed the massive turnout as proof of Vunobolki’s growing popularity and acceptability across the state. They pledged unwavering support for his ambition and expressed confidence in his ability to clinch the PDP ticket and win the governorship.“This is Not Empty Promises”, he said.
In his address to the enthusiastic crowd, Chief Vunobolki expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming show of love and support, particularly thanking those who endured the scorching sun to welcome him.
He publicly displayed his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, describing the purchase as a demonstration of his seriousness and readiness to contest the governorship.
“I have touched lives and built relationships across every part of Adamawa. Our aspiration is not built on empty promises but on years of visible commitment to the people,” Vunobolki declared.

In a notable gesture, the aspirant’s wife commended women supporters for their loyalty and announced a ₦1 million donation to the women’s wing to strengthen mobilization efforts.

Chief Vunobolki also presented ₦4 million to youth and support groups, describing the younger generation as critical partners in building a progressive Adamawa.
