Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has hailed center-back Gabriel Magalhaes following the Gunners’ UEFA Champions League 4-0 win against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Henry said the Brazilian international unlocked the situation for Arsenal against Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium.
Recall that the first half of the clash between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid ended in a 0-0 draw.
In the second half, Arsenal scored four goals against the Spanish LaLiga side, thanks to goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyokeres (2).
“Yes, I wanted a statement performance and a statement win,” Henry said on CBS Sports after the game.
“But once again, the guy that unlocks the situation is the center-back [Gabriel Magalhaes].”
Arsenal’s next match is against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
