Tom Garba, a true son of Lere Local Government Area, and a renowned journalist, is passionately celebrating Governor Uba Sani, whose visionary leadership has ushered in an era of unprecedented peace, progress, and unity across Kaduna State.
Over the past five months (December 2024 – May 2025), Garba proclaims, “Governor Sani has transformed Kaduna, making everyone feels like true indigenes for the first time in decades.”
Through his groundbreaking Kaduna Peace Model, transformative infrastructure projects, and unwavering commitment to healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, Sani has redefined governance, earning Garba’s fervent admiration and the gratitude of Kaduna’s diverse communities.
For Tom Garba, the restoration of peace across Kaduna State is a monumental achievement, particularly the southern Kaduna region, and he credits Governor Sani’s inclusive leadership for this historic milestone.
“We now feel safe, valued, and united as one people,” Garba declares, echoing the sentiments of thousands who have witnessed the state’s transformation from a region marred by insecurity to a beacon of harmony.
In a March 2025 Channels TV interview, Sani boldly stated, “Since I assumed office, Kaduna has seen no religious or community crisis,” a claim Garba affirms as “the undeniable truth.”
The Kaduna Peace Model, which Garba hails as “a masterstroke of governance,” lies at the heart of this success.
By tirelessly engaging traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth, and community groups across Kaduna’s three senatorial zones, Sani has bridged ethnic and religious divides, fostering a profound sense of belonging.
“Uba Sani has made Kaduna a home for all,” Garba enthuses, pointing to the Kaduna Democrats League (KDL) March 2025 endorsement, which celebrated Sani’s approach as “a national blueprint for unity.”
Residents from Zaria to Jema’a proclaim, “Peace reigns because of Sani!”
Garba is effusive in his praise for Sani’s Rural Transformation Agenda, which has brought unparalleled development to Kaduna State.
“Roads are springing to life across Kaduna, from Birnin Gwari to Kagarko,” Garba exclaims, highlighting the administration’s ambitious plan to construct 62 road projects spanning over 700 kilometers.
These projects, equipped with solar street lights and modern drainage systems, have revolutionized connectivity, enabling farmers and traders to thrive.
“Our communities are no longer isolated,” Garba says, quoting a Chikun resident who shared, “Our markets are accessible again.” With infectious excitement, Garba declares, “Governor Sani is bringing development to every doorstep in Kaduna!”
Garba is deeply moved by Sani’s transformative impact on Kaduna’s healthcare system. The reconstruction of 12 general hospitals, including facilities like the Dabo Lere Memorial Hospital in Saminaka, stands as a testament to Sani’s commitment to quality medical care.
“These upgraded facilities are saving lives,” Garba says, also applauding the commissioning of the Tudun Biri Primary Healthcare Centre in Igabi.
With all 255 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across Kaduna being upgraded to Level 2 status with modern equipment and essential drugs, Garba marvels, “We now have access to healthcare like never before.” A post on X from a Kaura resident echoes Garba’s enthusiasm: “Sani’s healthcare revolution is a blessing to Kaduna!”
Tom Garba’s pride in Sani’s education reforms is palpable. “Governor Sani has ignited hope for our youth,” he says, highlighting the rehabilitation of schools and the completion of 40 out of 62 post-primary school projects, which have returned thousands of children to classrooms statewide.
Garba is particularly inspired by Sani’s focus on girl-child education, with new infrastructure like a 200-bed dormitory block, classrooms, and sickbays in areas like Zangon Kataf and Chikun.
The establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, secured through Sani’s advocacy, earns Garba’s highest praise. “Our children have a future because of Uba Sani,” he says, quoting a Zaria community leader.
Garba is electrified by Sani’s agricultural transformation agenda, which has turned Kaduna into a hub of prosperity. The distribution of 100,000 bags of fertilizer and 10,000 solar-powered irrigation pumps has empowered farmers across Kauru, Igabi, and beyond to farm year-round, boosting food security and incomes.
“This is a revolution for our farmers,” Garba declares. The Kaduna Agricultural Sector Nutrition Strategy (2024–2027), addressing malnutrition while supporting farmers, earns his praise as “visionary.” Livestock vaccinations, including over 1,000,000 cattle and 350,000 sheep and goats, have safeguarded livelihoods, while the Uba Sani Foundation’s training of 100 individuals in fish farming and poultry production has sparked entrepreneurial growth.
“Our markets are thriving, and our farms are booming,” Garba says, echoing a trader’s excitement in Kaduna South. Garba Lauds Inclusive Governance
For Garba, Sani’s inclusive leadership is the heartbeat of Kaduna’s renaissance.
“Governor Sani has made us feel truly seen and valued,” he says, praising the governor’s open-door policy and tireless stakeholder engagement across Kaduna’s diverse communities. The KDL’s March 2025 endorsement, which called Kaduna “a shining example of harmony,” resonates deeply with Garba.
“Under Uba Sani, we are not just residents—we are indigenes, proud and equal.” Garba beams with pride, noting, “Sani’s ability to govern without bias has won the hearts of Zaria, Kaduna South, Birnin Gwari, and beyond.”
Tom Garba is unequivocal in his admiration for Governor Uba Sani, whose leadership has rewritten Kaduna’s story. “From ending violence to building roads, hospitals, and schools, Sani has made us feel like true indigenes,” Garba declares, echoing a Giwa elder’s sentiment.
Residents celebrate Sani as “the people’s governor,” a title Garba wholeheartedly endorses. “His Kaduna Peace Model and bold investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and agriculture have restored hope and positioned Kaduna as a model of development,” Garba says.
As Sani leads with vision and compassion, Garba’s rallying cry resounds: “We are thriving under Uba Sani!”
