President Bola Tinubu has arrived in the United Arab Emirates ahead of the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week
summit.
Tinubu landed at about 11:p.m. local time , and was received by the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu is attending the summit at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Onanuga stated that the annual global forum brings together leaders from government and business to discuss sustainable development.
The theme for this year’s summit is “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go.”
President Tinubu left Nigeria on December 28, departing Lagos as part of what the Presidency described as an end-of-year break in Europe.
He was last week seen in France meeting with Rwanda’s president.
President Tinubu is expected back in Nigeria after the week-long summit.
