…as tactical hunt for killers
Three Police officers have been gunned down at a check point in Egbe community, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya, confirmed this to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday
According to Aya, the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday at the boundary between Kogi and Kwara states.
The PPRO stated that the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Miller Dantawaye, has deployed operatives from the tactical team to hunt for and arrest the gunmen.
He stated, “I can confirm to you that three of our officers on duty were killed today in Egbe; a border community with Kwara State.
“The Commissioner of Police has deployed a tactical squad to the area. We are currently on the trail of the gunmen; they will all be arrested.”
