Six worshippers abducted from a Celestial Church a few days ago from Uso community, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, have been released.

It was gathered that the victims regained freedom on Monday night following their release in the Ilado community, Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
Sources said the sum of N9million was paid as ransom to the abductors before the victims were released.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebowale Lawal, had earlier disclosed that a suspect had been arrested by operatives of the Command in connection with the abduction of the worshippers.
Lawal, who revealed that five of the abducted worshippers are pregnant women and one is physically challenged, expressed concern that a church premises had been turned into a maternity centre.
Following the development, the police commissioner subsequently advised religious centres to suspend night worship amid the security challenges in the state.
