Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 elections in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called Yayi, has facilitated and delivered an ultramodern, fully furnished Area Command Police Station in the international border area of Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The newly completed security facility, located in the famous “Celestial City” of Nigeria, is designed to strengthen policing operations, enhance public safety and improve the welfare of police personnel. It is equipped with modern infrastructure and essential operational amenities, a statement by the Chairman of Media and Publicity Committee of the Ogun APC Campaign Council, High Chief Kayode Odunaro disclosed.

The project, according to Odunaro includes two units of three-bedroom bungalows to provide residential accommodation for senior police officers, alongside a 30KVA generator and a 15KVA solar inverter system to ensure reliable electricity supply for the facility.
The statement added that other installations include air-conditioning systems, water supply facilities, modern furnishings and landscaping designed to provide a conducive working environment for officers and improve the overall appearance of the police command.

Odunaro further stated that the intervention reflects Senator Adeola’s commitment to strengthening security infrastructure and supporting the Nigeria Police Force in its responsibility to protect lives and property across communities in Ogun State.
The provision of residential accommodation within the facility is also expected to improve the welfare of police personnel, enhance operational readiness and facilitate more effective coordination of security activities within Imeko-Afon Local Government Area and surrounding communities, he added.

Odunaro further stressed that the newly delivered Area Command Police Station represents another significant infrastructure intervention facilitated by Senator Adeola in Ogun West Senatorial District, complementing ongoing efforts to improve security, public infrastructure and community development across Ogun State.

Through the project, he added, Senator Adeola has further demonstrated his commitment to addressing critical community needs by providing infrastructure that supports effective policing, strengthens public confidence in security institutions and contributes to a safer environment for residents and businesses.
“The intervention also aligns with the broader developmental objectives of the Ogun State Government under Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, particularly in the areas of security, infrastructure development and improved public service delivery,” the statement concluded.
