The Chairman of Sagbama Local Government area of Bayelsa State, Hon. Mrs. Alice Tangi has appealed to the Governor Douye Diri-led administration to construct some key roads across the local government.
Some of the roads include Agbere Elemebiri road, Toruebeni-Akeddei road, Osiama Isuoni Egbepulugbene Awegbene Road. Others include, Bolou Orua overside Agoro Road and Ogobiri Agorogbene road.
The local government Boss made the appeal during governor Douye Diri’s Thank you Tour to Sagbama Local Government area for his reelection into office for second term.
According to her, Sagbama as a civilized entity with a well-organized, focused, purposeful, and responsible political leadership, was what brought about the unity and the massive turn out to votes during the last Governorship election.
“We appreciate your timely visit, which is a further demonstration of humility and sense of gratitude. We also thank you for sustaining and improving on the legacies laid by your predecessor, Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson. We also appreciate the cordial working relationship with our son, your resourceful Deputy Governor, Sen. Lawrence Ehrudjakpo.” She said.
The Council Boss thanked the Governor for the various infrastructure put in place in Sagbama and the appointment of sons and daughters of the local government in positions of trust in his administration.
She expressed joy and expectations over the 60 Mega Watts Independent power project the state is embarking on and appealed to the Governor to graciously connect Sagbama Local Government in a holistic manner to the power project.
The visit was a resounding success, and it is expected to usher in a new era of cooperation and development in Sagbama Local Government Area.
