The need for support of old students of schools and colleges in Ogun state was emphasized by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology Professor Abayomi Arigbabu, at the 75th Anniversary of Egbado College Old Student Association organized for the institution.
The school formally Egbado College, Ilaro but now Yewa (Egbado) College Ilaro was
founded in 1951 and celebrates their 75th years anniversary.
The 75 years Anniversary of the great school brought together eminent personalities, Chairmen and Secretaries of sets.
Distinguished guests which includes a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, one of the old student, Senator Iyabode Anisulowo, First Elected Female Deputy Governor in Nigeria, Alhaja Sinat Ojikutu, Lagos State Deputy governor, Former Vice Chancelor, University of Lagos, Professor Rahman Bello, Retired and serving military officials, including Capt. Adewale Isola and many Captains of Industries.
At the event which took place in the prestigious EKO hotel and towers in Lagos,
opening prayers was delivered by Chief Mrs Iyabo Apampa.
Also the goodwill message was delivered by Professor R. Bello and other distinguished personalities there present.
The 20 Billion Endowment Fund for the Upliftment and Development of the 75 years Old institution which is an Ionian School was organised by the current executives led by the Global President, Prince (Arc) Dasaolu Olaniyi Oladimeji FNIA, was unprecedented as substantial billions of naira was raised for the development projects of the Yewa Egbado College ilaro.
The one week events of the anniversary of the school started on the 4th of February with the fundraising at the Eko HOTEL in Lagos and Schedule to run till 15th of February 2027.
