President Bola Tinubu is set to receive the All Progressives Congress Certificate of Return and the party’s flag as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election on Sunday.
A statement by presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, said the presentation will take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja after the nationwide collation of results from the party’s primary election.
According to Onanuga, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Sunday receive the certificate and flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as its presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.”
The statement, shared on X on Saturday, said APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee, the National Working Committee, lawmakers from the National Assembly and other party leaders are expected to attend the event.
