The Dr Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel Foundation has held the seventh edition of its yearly free surgeries and medical outreach in Edo State.
According to the Founder, Dr Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel, the yearly event is one of the ways he gives back to society.
He said, “We are enjoined to be our brother’s keeper and we live in a world of inter-dependence. No one has it all and whatever we are, whatever position we occupy, it is that we are holding such in trust for the people, for the society. We started this seven years ago because we believe that there is a need to show love and kindness to others.
“These little efforts of ours have saved a lot of people from health conditions that have weighed them down. We also know that the government cannot do everything and therefore if we support government’s efforts, there is nothing bad in that. I cannot express how joyful I feel when I see the health burdens and challenges of people being lifted after our intervention. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others.”
Some of the beneficiaries, like Benedicta Ajekaye, who had fibroid removed from her body, prayed that God would continue to empower Dr Iyamu to do more for humanity.
Mr Monday Audu, who had a case of lipoma, said, “Once again, the Dr. Paddy Iyamu Emmanuel Foundation is making a profound impact on the lives of Nigerians through the 7th Edition of Free Surgeries for fibroids, lipomas, breast lump, hernias and dental health issues.This monumental initiative is a testament to the compassion and commitment of a man who has devoted his life to giving back to society.

Another beneficiary, Edirin Dolor, said she got to know of the programme from a church member and got a text message inviting her.
She was also relieved of the case of lipoma and lauded Dr Iyamu and his team.
