Many Nigerian celebrities have rallied support for Peter Okoye, one half of the defunct music duo, ‘P-Square’, following negative remarks by Jude about his career.

Jude, who was the manager and elder brother to the music duo, Peter and Paul of the P-Square, had while responding to accusations by Peter claimed that Paul’s career is thriving while Peter’s career is declining since their split.

“Paul is going up there, you dey go down”, Jude told Peter.

Reacting to Jude’s demeaning statement, many Nigerians, especially celebrities rallied support for Peter and tagged Jude a betrayer.

Actress Evans Okoro said in an Instagram video, “Nigerians, una know say we no dey use ear hear say person dey bully person or person won make person go down.”

“We heard that Peter P-Square career has been going down. We need to raise our brother. Nothing concerns us with the family problems but we must carry our brother up. Go and stream his new song on YouTube. Please let’s help Peter P-Square”, she urged her fans.

Supporting Evan Okoro’s post, actress Destiny Etiko stated that Peter’s song need more streaming.

Etiko wrote; “The song is not there yet”.

Also sharing her pictures on Instagram, she played Peter’s new song “I Can’t Look Away” in the background.

Similarly, actress Nkechi Blessing’s ex lover and influencer, Eseoghene Obire, better known as Xxssive, said on Instagram; “Judas don dey get money problems right from the time of Jesus, and you people want him to change under this Tinubu regime?”

“Anyways, Jude gets luck say no be Warri boy or Benin boy be your brother.Everyday you wake up just thank God that you have a very calm junior brother who have a kind heart. If to say na me you try this nonsense with, you for don sell almost all your property”, Xxssive said.

Also, popular comedian and actor, Deacon Famous in an Instagram video, stated that “family is overrated. Family is your first battle. Those of you who come from a good family don’t know what God has done for them.

“P-Square structure was wrong and faulty. Jude your brother didn’t just come in as your manager but you allowed him to take the full charge. He was taking 40% and your and your twin brother was taking 30% each. What type of brother is that?”

“You have a good elder brother, Henry, who you explained was a better and trustworthy person but you allowed Jude to manage you. You have Henry but you choose Jude. Even for the Bible, the book of Jude has just one chapter. God has to make the book of Jude brief. Them no dey give Jude too much chance”, he said.

Other celebrities that made posts to support Peter include, singer Auta waziri, Cynthia Morgan, Radiogad, Oil money, actress Nkechi Blessing among others.

Peter Okoye, who is professionally known as Mr. P, split from P-Square after he accused his twin brother, Paul Okoye and his elder brother, Jude Okoye of diverting music royalty.

The fight between the three brothers intensified after Jude was arrested and charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in February 2025.
