Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) as his uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has taken an early lead in the results of Saturday’s governorship election.
Davido, who actively campaigned for the incumbent governor during the election, made the comments in a series of social media posts as votes were being sorted and counted across the state.

Reacting to results emerging from polling units, the singer claimed that the APC had lost the ward of former Osun State Governor, Bisi Akande.
“Their group chat don scatter! Baba Akande lost his ward. Gov Adeleke is cruising to victory. Shame APC. Osun no be Edo!” Davido wrote.
He also called on residents to remain vigilant, alleging that there could be attempts to manipulate the outcome of the election.
“I implore Osun people to stay vigilant all night and resist plans of Oyetola. Na we get Osogbo! Imole ti woleeeee,” he added.
In another post, Davido expressed confidence that Adeleke would retain the governorship while urging security agencies not to withdraw personnel from polling locations.
Voting had ended across the state, with officials proceeding with sorting, counting and the collation of results.
As of 5:51pm on Saturday, results from 1,695 of the 3,763 polling units had been uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal.
Meanwhile the Imole Campaign Council had alleged that there are plans to declare the election inconclusive.
In a statement by Rep. Bamidele Salam, Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee of The Imole Campaign Council, the governor’s team asked observers to be at alert.
